My Services
I am devoted to the couples I work with and I strive always to treat each client as unique, special, and important. My goal is to support women and their partners so that they may more readily meet the unique challenges of their pregnancies and labors with information, confidence, and flexibility - regardless of my own beliefs or their chosen provider or birth location. I think my strengths lie in my emphasis on enhancing a woman's confidence to trust in her body and birth her way and my focus on empowering women and their partners through education and continuous support. In addition, I have excellent training and professional affiliations (Lamaze, DONA) that guide me ethically and allow me to keep up with the latest research in the field of childbirth.
I offer the following services to childbearing women and their partners living in the DC Metro area.
- Group Lamaze classes Thursday evenings in Falls Church, VA. Call the D.C. Chapter of Lamaze at 703-549-2226 to register ($130). Visit www.lamaze-dc.com for more information.
- Private childbirth classes in your home, tailored to meet your individual needs. E-mail me to set up your sessions ($50 per hour).
- Birth doula services including at least two prenatal visits, support during labor and delivery, a written birth story, and one postpartum visit. E-mail me to inquire about availability and fees and to arrange a free interview.
